Year In Patterns

2015 month-by-month recap.

January: Ryan, Ann, Kyle, and I cheered at Wrestlepalooza. Ry and I celebrated Ryan's bday (the Next Best Holiday, according to him) by checking out a few breweries.

February: I started a new job at Holmberg Company. I attended my first (and only) Bridal Show.

March: Ryan and I took our first big adventure to Sitka and Nome, Alaska. We assembled for Wolfpack Bowling in Milaca, Minnesota.

April: I started a challenge to draw one LOST illustration a day for 108 days. After contacting 33 venues and touring 9 different places, Ryan and I finally found our wedding venue in Stillwater, Minnesota.

May: Ryan and I moved to Cathedral Hill in St. Paul. I participated in the Animal Humane Society Walk for the Animals and Northern Voices' Walk for Talk. Ryan kicked butt in the Half Marathon in Chicago. We spent our first Memorial Weekend together up at Lake Winnibigoshish.

June: Ryan, Ann, and I joined forces for a second Wrestlepalooza. I joined a gym for the first time since High School (whaaaaaaat). I went biking with my dearest Dad for Father's Day and the Sweney clan went canoeing for his birthday (Ryan discovered canoeing involved a lot of nausea).

July: Ryan and I spent Fourth of July enjoying a bonfire at Mama and Papa Schneiders. We celebrated our Anniversary at a fun art deco restaurant, Il Foro, and went back to where it all started at Smack Shack for oysters. We drank everything but water at the Water Carnival in Hoyt Lakes, MN. My Bachelor/Bachelorette Bracket with my girlfriends ended (I never pulled off a win). I finished my 108th LOST drawing.

August: Ryan and I took our Engagement photos with our photographer, the very talented Staci Carpenter. I went on one last Family Vacation (involving some hiking and drinking, naturally) as a Sweney with my mom, dad, and brother to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

September: A group of us went to check out the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee. My Grandpa decided to break in his new ATV by getting lost on the Iron Range (thankfully found with minimum battle wounds). I said yes to my wedding dress.

October: Jenna and I got zombified for the Twin Cities Zombie Pub Crawl. My cousin, Lauren, married a pretty sweet dude at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall with an Art Deco theme (great minds think alike). Staci and Jeff Carpenter revealed they're having a Baby Boy.

November: I said good-bye to my Appendix (who needs it anyway?). Ryan and I took his dad (a chef!) and his mom's advice at our Food Tasting for the wedding. My design friend, Lisa, started a monthly Design Check-In with a few of us.

December: My Etsy sales doubled for a brief moment in time and I totally geeked out. The Sweney Clan saw Buddy Holly for our annual theatre tradition. Ryan and I brought in the New Year by cooking at home and enjoying some beers at Red Cow.

Good-bye, 2015. Bring on 2016!
